Let's Go!

Lets Go!!!
The Silverites trace back to the mid-1990s when Joe Robison (guitar/vocals) and Joe Schwartz (lead guitar/vocals) teamed up with some other local musicians to form the Lushrollers. The band went through a few iterations and ultimately Mike McLaughlin (bass/vocals) and Jeff Geller (drums/vocals/guitar) joined the group in time for the renaming of the band and release of the Silverites’ debut album “Grand Opening” in 2009. Since then, The Silverites have played clubs throughout the Baltimore and DC areas, been featured on 98 Rock’s Noise in the Basement and WTMD’s Baltimore Hit Parade. The Silverites released their second album, “Parking Lot Regrets” in 2015, and their latest album, “Inventory of Used Parts” in 2023.
The Silverites play original, attention-grabbing, power pop rock and roll. The Big Takeover’s
Matthew Berlyant describes The Silverites’ sound as “evocative of mid ’90s indie rockers like Guided by Voices, Sebadoh and especially Pavement, but mixed with fairly healthy doses of late ’70s/early ’80s new wave and power pop stuff like Elvis Costello and The Jam.”

WeatherAmes
Matt Ames – lead vocal and guitar; John Silver – guitar, vocals; Sam Wynkoop – bass, vocals; Brian Moran – drums
Son Volt’s Trace was a game changer. In 1999, Matt Ames began playing a guitar he borrowed from the high school where he taught art. He started writing songs and eventually formed the band Gordon Fog. In 2017, Ames retreated to his basement and started hemorrhaging new songs about trying to escape small towns, love affairs with spirits that have been distilled, and the bliss of losing one’s mind. He penned the songs under the moniker WeatherAmes. In the fall of 2018, he emerged from the basement, went to Annapolis, MD to record with Ahren Buchheister of Black Rhinoceros and Pompeii Graffiti. The debut WeatherAmes album, Holy Smoke, was released in June 2019. With influences from the Laurel Canyon and a desire to create station wagon rock and roll, Ames joined up with bassist Sam Wynkoop and guitarist John Silver.
